Outreach Education

Services provided by HALO-Flight are simply one link in the chain of survival for critically ill or injured patients. Community first responders, EMTs, paramedics, dispatchers, nurses, physicians, and specialists at area hospitals each have a vital role in patient outcomes. Each of these entities must be strong in order for the patient to have the best chance of survival.

In an effort to support communities within our 26 county region, HALO-Flight provides an array of complimentary education services.

These services including continuing education (CE), training for regional EMS Providers, and the HALO-Flight EMS Training Academy in partnership with Coastal Bend College.

The HALO-Flight Education  Team also provides assistance with obtaining  specific educational and training needs, and is focused on acute and critical care for pre-hospital crews of all levels.  Classes offered include 12-Lead ECG, Rapid Sequence Intubation (R.S.I.), Intraosseous IV Access (EZ-IO), Chest Decompression, IV access, and many others.
