Saluting Doris Young

Happy EMS Week to all our wonderful EMS Partners. Working with the best!

Today we are saluting Doris Young, FNP-C, RN, CCRN, EMT.

Doris started her EMS career in the United States Coast Guard where she obtained her EMT Training. A few years later, having completed her degree as a Registered Nurse, she moved into hospital-based critical care service in 1998. In 2011 she joined HALO-Flight.

She remained focused on her education, and in 2011 she achieved her Critical Care Registered Nurse credential, and in 2016 graduated from the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at Texas A&M University Corpus Christi. Doris currently works part time for HALO-Flight as a Flight Nurse and full time at CHRISTUS Spohn Shoreline as a Nurse Practitioner on their trauma services team.

As a healthcare and EMS Professional, Doris has countless memories of service. She explained, “Too many to choose from!”
