CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS – Flint Hills Resources proudly presented a $30,000 donation to HALO Flight on Wednesday, April 17th, in commemoration of the 31st Annual Flight of Angels Golf Tournament.
The tournament, scheduled for Monday, May 6, 2024, will be hosted at the Northshore Country Club located at 801 Broadway Blvd., Portland, TX 78374, and promises two flights of friendly competition starting at 7:30 AM and 1:00 PM, appetizing food throughout the course, several contests, and a raffle.
Since the early 2000s, Flint Hills Resources has been the steadfast presenting sponsor of the Flights of Angels Golf Tournament, collectively raising an impactful $2,200,000. These funds have helped enabled the organization to fulfill its mission of providing emergency medical transport for critically ill or injured patients in South Texas, regardless of their ability to pay.
“Our longstanding support for HALO Flight and its vital mission is one we’re proud of,” said Rodney Dillon, Vice President and Manufacturing Manager, Flint Hills Resources Corpus Christi. “We’re honored to be a part of its efforts and the crucial role it plays in our region’s healthcare system.”
Since 1987, HALO Flight has responded to more than 24,000 missions. In 2023, the organization flew 1,314 patients to receive the urgent care they needed.
