HALO-Flight EMS Training Academy’s students are finishing up the didactic portion of their class and will soon begin a 3-week clinical rotation.
Dr. Jay Koska, HALO-Flight’s Medical Director, lectured at the November 28th class in Alice, Texas. Topics of his lecture included pediatric anatomy and physiology, injuries, medical conditions and special needs specific to children.

The goal of HALO-Flight's EMS Training Academy is to provide high quality initial EMS training at an affordable cost to students and to EMS providers and their personnel in and for the remote areas of South Texas.
HALO-Flight EMS Training Academy currently o ffers EMR and EMT levels of TDSHS EMS certi cation training, continuing education, and EMS Skills pro ciency testing. We will also be able to provide many specialized courses such as 12-Lead ECG; Advanced Airway; IV therapy; AHA BLS (CPR); ASHI First Aid.
