Responding with Multiple Aircraft

In January 2012, we added a third helicopter to our fleet. Focused on the future and to better serve our 26-county service area, it was necessary for us to expand operations. Based in Alice, Texas, we have cut response times to the western portion of our service area.

With our partnership with Driscoll Children's Hospital, where one helicopter is solely dedicated to the hospital, the third aircraft helps meet the demands for 9-1-1 air medical transport in our service area.

By adding the third aircraft, we are now able to respond with two helicopters to the scene of mass casualty incidents.

Since January 1, 2013, HALO-Flight has responded to five scene
flights with two aircraft.
