HALO-Flight is grateful to our many donors and countless volunteers who generously support our mission of saving lives in South Texas. The 2012 Una Caja Dove Shoot presented by CITGO was held on Wednesday, October 10th at Mrs. Laura Berry’s Lonesome Dove Ranch. This year’s shoot raised more than $50,000 which will be applied to our operating budget.

HALO-Flight’s Una Caja Dove Shoot was founded by the late Luther Young of Kingsville, Texas. Our dear friend Luther approached us in 2008 with the idea of hosting a unique hunting event to raise funds for our organization. Luther was an avid huntsman and guide. His idea became the Una Caja (One Box) Dove Shoot which began in 2009. The format for the shoot is invitation only, teams of 5 hunters, one box of shells, and a .410 shotgun. Luther touched the lives of everyone who knew him.
He is truly missed.
