HALO-Flight & Coastal Bend College Enrolling Students
EMS Training Academy Classes Began July 6
Five years ago, individuals wanting to enter the professional field of emergency response care got a new opportunity to train with, and be trained by, veteran instructors who are seasoned emergency medical professionals at HALO-Flight, Inc.
Today, the tradition continues with a new location designed to make the training experience more accessible with classrooms on the campus of Coastal Bend College, Alice Campus. Enrollment is underway for the Academy at Coastal Bend College, Alice Campus, 704 Coyote Trail, Alice, Texas 78332. Classes began July 6.
“The Texas Department of State Health Services first granted a license to the HALO-Flight EMS Training Academy in October 2011,” said Academy Coordinator Wendy Greer, LP, EMSC, “and the Academy has continued to provide professional training for aspiring emergency medical students since that time.”
Classes will be held from 6:00 to 10:30 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings between July and December. The class will be limited to 20 students who have met the prerequisites. For a list of prerequisites, candidates should contact Greer at [email protected]. Registration question can be directed to Debbie Cadena at [email protected] or 361.664.3039.
